Pune, Mumbai, Nashik are in the grip of Swine Flu. Thank God and thanks to administration, especially Pune Municipal Corporation, for all the protective measures and actions they have initiated, I am yet to get infected. They deserve pat on their back. I am yet to hit by Swine Flu and am still alive. Perhaps, I have a duty to fight more dangerous viruses of society.

Swine Flu scared not only Punekars but also relatives and friends of Punekars staying out of Pune. Everyone kept calling to show sympathy and solidarity. Thanks to Swine Flu many old friends reunited and inquired about Swine Flu. Today, I am writing about something which is more dangerous than Swine Flu. In my small and simple world HDFC bank is more dangerous than Swine Flu. Few of us might wonder how a bank can be compared to H1N1 virus. This review will help all to fight against HDFC virus.

My old age mother stays in village. Whenever her mobile talk-time goes down she reminds me to refill the same. Normally, I visit the mobile gallery, load the required amount, insist and obtain money receipt, and check with her .whether talk-time has increased or not. Although she forget to remind me of her low talk-time(in order to save my money), the moment her call frequency goes down, I make sure to recharge her mobile and love to do so. Isn't it a romantic story? How HDFC bank played a spoilsport in this saga?

My colleges are closed due to Swine Flu and its holiday for us. Swine Fluhelped us and provided opportunity to study at home. I needed to recharge my mothers mobile but couldn’t do so due to closed shops, Independence Day holiday and shuttered down mobile galleries. Although scared to use online recharge thru ATM / Internet I opted for HDFC bank’sonline recharge facility. Transaction was successful. Amount was debited from my saving account. SMS confirmation on my mobile that amount is debited from my account on account of online recharge was well received by me. My mother’s mobile was not recharged. And that’s where the bug hit me.

So, I rushed to nearby medical store and managed to purchase recharge voucher scratch card. Code was SMSed to my mother and her recharge was successful. Now the ordeal begins as for two more days she is yet get recharge for HDFC’s online recharge facility. Day before, I visited mobile gallery to inquire about recharge done thru HDFC and they laughed at me. This web world advised me to not to recharge thruHDFC bank in future and apply for refund from HDFC only.

I applied for refund or recharge to HDFC bank. Before transaction HDFC claimed that if recharge is unsuccessful for whatsoever reasons amount will be refunded within 4 working days. And Swine Flu tested positive for my savings swabs.

A doctor from HDFC bank’sCUSTOMER HARASSMENT TEAM replied – This is in reference to your e-mail regarding the non-receipt of your payment done through Direct Pay to the Merchant / Service provider. The only role of HDFC Bank is in facilitating the payment. The offering / terms and conditions of the product are laid down by the Merchant. Your account has been debited and the payment has already been made to the Merchant / Service provider. For any clarifications, we would request you to get in touch with the customer care team of service provider, who, on your instructions, will initiate the necessary rectification.

Now I am really hit by SWINE FLU virus called H1N1-HDFC. As a patient(victim) now I have some duties to perform like educating others about this H1N1HDFC virus, take / give some treatment to this virus and many others. First thing first – Advice to my friends and well wishers!Keep away from HDFC bank in order to not to get infected by virus Be it necessary for you to deal with HDFC bank, keep yourselves away from it online recharge facility. It is highly dangerous Keep away from doctors of Customer Harassment Team of HDFC bank as they are highly infected ofH1N1HDFC and are on a spree to affect others. They will make sure to visit you all other infected places like branch, net banking, grievance redressal, phone banking, and merchant outlets and so on. The only tested medicine (Tamiflu) for H1N1HDFC is legal recourse wherein you need to file a petition againstHDFC bank to get your wrong debits as low as INR 250 or INR 0.08. This virus ensures that your money is parked with HDFC bank as long as you don’t demand it.

HDFC bank acts as an agent for mobile service providers. HDFC bank advertises prepaid mobile recharge services at https://hdfcbank.com/personal/payments/default.htm#PMR

You can get infected by H1N1HDFC in two convenient ways

# Prepaid Mobile Refill on Internet

# Prepaid Mobile Refill on ATM

Am I going to die due to H1N1HDFC?No, I am going to survive. I am going to send my swabs(notice) to HDFC branchthru its branch to confirm

# Confirm in writing that HDFC bank has facilitated the payment and INR 250 was debited from customer

# Confirm in writing in whose account the money was transferred / remitted along with date of remittance

# Confirm in writing that HDFC bank is unable to refund amount of unsuccessful recharge within 4 days as promised during transaction

*Some bitter medicines to virus H1N1HDFC.

*Mobile recharge unsuccessful is common phenomenon when it comes to online recharge or ATM recharge. How other banks respond to these situations? They immediately refund the amount after verifying the unsuccessful transaction. They verify it from merchants. How payment gateways function? Throughout the world trillions of e-transactions are happening seamlessly without any fuss and fury. Whenever customer disputers product or service, it is the payment gateway that in turn is liable for refund should merchant fail to provide something for something. And they do so immediately. What HDFC do? They keep the payment with them as long as they don’t get medicine and earn profit by parking money illegally. And then refunds as if they are doing a favor.

So be aware H1N1HDFC. Take precautions. Don’t spread it. Educate others. And if you already infected by H1N1HDFC please take TAMIFLU explained above. This medicine TAMILFLU alias Legal Recourse will cost you heavily. It is available to all those who seek it. Sometimes it may not work but still you will have to take it and ensure that H1N1HDFC does not spread in society at large.
