Hdfc bank is a renowned bank which provides many offers on debit as well as credit cards. Seeing this I opened an account with them and opted for both the cards. When the agent who was there was opening the account he told me that since it is an instant card I will not be getting my name printed on the card but it can be done in any branch.
Also for the credit card he told me I had to provide an alternative number in which I will have to do auto recharges every month. I told him that I do not want such criteria but he told that it is mandatory. So I had no option but to opt for it.
Now when the time came for the payment they could not process it and I got mails amd messages that I will have to pay the bills myself. First of all it was not a mandatory thing had it been it would not jave been cancelled. So why was I forced to opt for the same. No other banks have such criteria.
Anyways when I went to the bank for updating the passbook there concerned person was not there which means if one person is not there the bank will not operate. One said that person was not available and other said that printer was not working. So there was a confusion among themselves only. Moreover for the name they told me that I will have to raise a request online and then only it can be processed. So I went so far for both the things and nothing was done.
The customer service and people of the bank should be careful to keep an alternative way because we working people only have Saturday to complete these tasks. They gave an address of another branch nearby saying it was 300 m away but google map told me it was 1 km away. So again a way to cheat and harass customers. Hdfc though gives offers which I have not been able to use till now is very poor in service.
