Well this is one of the insident which happened to one of my relatives with HDFC BAnk. She had approached this bank for personal loan. After submitting all the documents. No action was taken from their side.
After nearly 5o calls to thir office she was told that her request is rejected beacuse of the following reason : -
1) She is on contractual job
2) She doesnt maintain sufficient balance in her bank account.
well I would like to express my opinion on these two reason : -
I would like to ask the bank what is the difference between a contract work and a permanent job. Do u mean to say that a person who is in a permanent job cannot be kicked off by his company. There is no sort os security for any job.
My answer to the next reason will be : -
what if she hasnt maintained a sufficient balance in her bank. If she has sufficient balance in her bank account she would have not applied for a personal loan which is just Rs.30000/-
What the bank has to see is wether she has the capacity to repay the loan. SHe was working for a big company and was earning Rs.10000 per month by which she could have clearly paid the amount.
And more over the bank did not even bother to inform that her request has been rejected.
Its as shame on the Bank like HDFC to attent to customer service like this.
