I am Customer of HDFC bank since last 8 years and except at one occasion, I have never faced any problem in service. Their srvice compare to all other banks is excellent wheather it is phone banking, net banking or banking at any branch.
Even their credit card service is excellent provided you keep a good track record of timely payment. Recently I made one payment late by 2 days and when called up customer care to request for not charging any penalty and I was happy to hear that immidiately on receipt of payment, they have waved the penalty charged to my account. People who do not have proper documents for opening a new account may face problem as they stricktly follow the rules.
Same is the case for issue of credit cards. While some of the banks are offering credit cards to unwilling customers, HDFC bank rejects application in absence of any of the required documents. Even my application was rejected once as their reprsentative missed to send my address proof although I hold account with them.
