I opened my bank account in HDFC about 2 years back as my friend was an employee there.
First of all its a bit expensive to maintain a HDFC bank account. I am a student so it is very difficult for me to maintain minimum account balance as a HDFC bank holder must have to maintain minimum 10000 Rs in their account otherwise bank will charge an amount from your accout for not maintaining minimum balance. And that amount is too much for me being a student. And they offer low interest rate on saving account as compared to some other banks.
But their customer service is very good. And netbanking facility offers so many things. Even I would say you dont need to visit bank if u r friendly with net banking.
Recommended only for those who can maintain minimum account balance of 10000 with low interest. And if you are a student or can't afford to maintain 10000 just skip this and choose a good public sector bank.
