Hmmmm......
I am using HDFC Bank credit card for 4 years now and am extremely satisfied with the service (Touch wood!!!!). Barring a few minor incidents, the overall card satisfaction has been top class. Be it receipt of statement to ease of navigating through its website, I think, this product comes out to be one of the finest.
Positives
- Card statement comes ontime
Ease of payment - through bank/ direct debits/ website.
Decent response time for queries. Extremely powerful resolution through Email. Decent call centre to help those not too net savvy.
Auto increase of credit limit based on usage.
Proactive receipt of replacement card before expiry.
Negatives
- Reward points redemption options limited.
2 reward points/ Rs. 100 spent actually doesn't convert itself into double benefits. The redemption points required for some goods are one and half times normal rate. For example, a Rs. 500 Gift voucher will cost ~ 750 to 800 points.
No petrol surcharge waiver - as offered by other card companies.
Not enough offers & deals - in comparison to other companies.
In short, it is a good card to have sans the glamour. If you want a decent hassle free card, go for it. Good value for money, no major frills but a good performer.
