I have been a HDFC bank credit card customer since 2005, and to date I have had no issues at all. I was really surprised reading so may bad reviews about it.
I started out with a HDC bank silver credit card, which was later automatically upgraded by HDFC to the Titanium card this year. The kind of service I have enjoyed from HDFC has been really great. The rewards program is also good with prompt delivery of gifts!
What I really like is the online tracking through Netbanking of purchases made on my card. I can track my spending whenever I want without waiting for a statement.
HDFC is also very careful about my card usage. I have an add-on card in my mother's name. She lives in Pune. She went on a holiday to Calcutta and used the card for some purchases. Within seconds I got a call from HDFC s vigilance department, for confirming the transaction! It feels good that any abnormal activity is being noticed by the bank and they will do all it takes to prevent unauthorized use. The transaction amount was also not too big.
I probably wouldn't apply for any other card from any other bank, since I am so happy with HDFC's service.
