PLEASE DO NOT USE the HDFC REGALIA CREDIT CARD Conceirge services. Its a big fraud.

I booked a flight ticket using the HDFC Regalia conceirge services 6 months in advance. E-Ticket was sent to me. However, a day before the flight, I came to know that E-ticket was cancelled 5 months back. No intimation was sent by HDFC to me and HDFC kept all the money with them. I made all the travel arrangements and suffered monetary losses. I came to know about cancelled flight while trying to web-check in.


HDFC is now lying and making wrong excuses. List of untrue statements made by HDFC:




  • Flight route got changed and hence ticket was cancelled. - When I called AIR INDIA customer care, they said no change in route happened.




-  Air India informed me about cancellation. - When I called AIR INDIA customer care, they said no intimation sent by them. It is the responsibility of the Travel agent to do so.




  • AIR India cancelled the flight(told by HDFC customer care representative -Neelabh): Wow, this is height of lie. How far a company can go in deceiving its customer.




Here is the series of the event.


On 19 August 2015, I got my air tickets booked by HDFC Regalia conceirge services and On 20 August 2015, I got E-ticket confirmation mail from HDFC stating that ticket was booked. Money was debited to the credit card immediately and customer timely made payment of all credit card dues.


On 31 October 2015, the ticket was cancelled by airline(Air India) due to technical problem from HDFC. I made all the travel arrangements but came to know about flight cancellation only on January 7, 2016, when Iwas trying to do web check-in(a day before the actual flight). HDFC did not informed the me about the flight cancellation and illegally kept the money, without informing the customer.


I suffered monetary loss in terms on interest foregone on flight bookings, cancellation charges of hotels and other travel bookings and suffered mental agony. When I raised concerned about it, HDFC misrepresented the facts(based on conversation with HDFC customer care representative- Neelabh on 7 Jan 2016): 1) AI 659 DEL to GOA: starting at 5 PM at 8 Jan 2016 is cancelled by airlines and hence had to cancel customer’s ticket. However, in reality, AI flight operated on 8 Jan 2016. 2)     AI had sent SMS to customer mobile number  on 19 October 2015 stating that flight is cancelled and giving option to customer to book another flight for 8th Jan 2016 at 10.40 PM and return journey 13 Jan. However, in reality, no such SMS was sent.
