I hold a HDFC card for about 8 months now. Initially they offered me a scheme for cash back on whatever I spend, I found this to be attractive and started using HDFC card instead of all other cards.
I was happy till last month, suddenly when I noticed that I have been charged a reversal of cash back without any reason.
I declined to pay that amount of Rs. 260(out of my total bill of 6000) and they have charged me finance charges of Rs. 240 extra for not paying Rs. 240.
When I called up customer care their response is horrible saying that the cashback was given wrongly and so it needs to be reversed.
I have written an email to their cards customer care and its been three days and I have got no response.
Meanwhile I am sure that they will continue to do this because every time I go with an issue to HDFC it atleast takes 4 to 5 months to resolve
