I am a customer of HDFC Bank for the last 11 years. At first the bank was very good and looked after the customers. However, lately, the service has deteriorated to a great extent. On two occasions, cheques have been dishonored once because they couldn't read one digit of the date and the other because they said the signature did not match (I checked and found that the signature was quite within the reasonable variation which takes place).
On both occasions it was a terrible embarrassment and despite having more than sufficient funds to cover the cheque, the cheque was dishonored.
This is in spite of the fact that I am supposed to be a "Preferred Customer". GOD alone knows what happens to the no-preferred customers!
GOD help you with the HDFC Bank, they are getting worse than the ICICI Bank!!!
