Let me tell you about my personal experience that I had while working here.
If you are an intern(undergraduate), you are supposed to work for same hours and you need to maintain same scores and you would get salary of around 8500(if u take cabs as they deduct 2000 if u take cabs). You are not entitled for any appraisals as they call it as interns are not eligible for salary hikes. You would not have any medical insurance and all you would have is something by the name of ESI which is related to some government hospital and they would never give you your ESI card. Others who are graduates can get a salary of anything like 15k 18k or even 25k for the same job what you are doing as an intern.
I am not able to find any company which has this kind of policies for people who are undergrads( I am talking about BPO's only) .You are supposed to give a nine hours of productive login daily( 9 hours of call taking) which somebody told me is a violation of labour laws. If you do not complete 45 productive login for whatever reason they would ask you to come for sixth day.They would do a lot of goof-ups in your overtime. If you face any salary issue there is no-one to help you.
Moreover, at the end of the month you can not be assured that you would get your salary or not. They could put your salary on cheque mode or put a hold on salary.( This is done to prevent attrition- if somebody is planning to leave after getting salary on last day of month. He would work for few more days and generate revenue for the company). This is the most unprofessional organization I ever came across. Agents across all processes release calls without any problems(this is done to maintain AHT).
If, you have good terms with people in Quality team and your team leader you would never be caught for any wrong thing you do on calls. You could easily sleep and eat on operations floors. you could also move out of the office and go home and somebody else would take care of your login hours.
In short, never ever go and apply at HCL BPO.
