HBO is available on all of the cable and satelite services in the United States. It is a channel where they have such shows as the Sopranos and Confessions of a Taxi Cab Driver,along with many Hollywood movies and other uncensored shows.
I am using these two as an example as to why there should be parental controls on televisions with this channel. These are just two of the series where they show nudity, and I guess what they call soft porn.
The Sopranos is a show that is suppose to be about the Mafia, some have said it is a show that depicts the Mafia the way it truly is. This show has won many awards as have other HBO series. The show is extremely violent and realistic. If what it shows is true, then mafia members hang around nudie bars alot and they do get their revenge on anyone that ticks them off. This is a very interesting show , Somewhat addictive, you always want to find out what is going to happen.
Confessions of a Taxi Cab Driver is taped in Sin City, Las Vegas, it is where they have a camera set up in certain Taxi Cabs , they tape what goes on in the Taxi Cabs on the Las Vegas Nights. Some of the episodes have been very shocking. People do and say just about everything you wouldnt think of doing or saying in a Taxi Cab. They of course have to tell the people that they have been taped and get their permission to use the particular episode on the series. Not all of these episodes are X Rated . There have been more then a couple that were. Kind of like looking into someones bedroom window.
HBO, has won many awards with their own HBO Shows. They have some comedy shows on HBO that are really funny. HBO is not a free or basic channel. You have to subscribe to it. Sometimes on cable television they will run a free day so that people can get a taste of what HBO is like. This is when they get their new subscribers. People see shows that they like and want to keep watching them. They are hooked.
If you have children and you are planning on getting HBO , you need to get a parental lock for the television. There are too many shows on this channel that are not fit for children.
