If you spend hours fretting and fuming while trying to get from Gurgaon to Delhi and vice versa, here’s the good news. The 27-km Gurgaon-Delhi expressway has been opened.
That also includes the one curving across the road to IGI airport, which means going to catch a flight would also become less of a pain.
NHAI & DS CONSTRUCTIONS have done a decent job though the project got delayed by 1.5 yrs which caused lot of chaos & trouble to commuters but now these things are past & we shouldnt look into them.
You are required to pay Rs 16 as a toll for using the expressway.
All slow-moving traffic will not be allowed on the expressway. These will have to take the service lane adjacent to the expressway.
Loop connecting to the domestic airport is now operational thus provides a clear access to fliers using the airport. It will fully clear up once the new domestic terminal being constructed between 1A and 1B is completed.
There's a different clover leaf for ppl using the Delhi International airport thus no more traffic jams.
The toll plaza near Delhi is a state-of-the-art 32-lane plaza, designed for easy traffic flow. Though now a days there is a jam at the toll but today things have changed, jams have vanished as the developers have built a different lane for card & tag.
Also marshalls have been deployed to collect money before u enter toll & u just present the slip & zip through.
There is a strict need for lane driving & foot over bridges (FOB) on this fast expressway to avoid accidents.
Roads r smooth, well built & lights are unique, well lit with a lil bit of bent.
Let's hope better sense prevails in future so that we can take full advantage of this.
