Dream Island - Damdama Lake - Gurgaon. Review on Gurgaon

I live in Delhi, and one day I was surfing online, trying to look for some place near by for a short weekend trip with friends when I happened to come across this resort at https://dreamisland.in. My first reaction was.."wow".. I didnt even know such a place existed near Delhi. After talking to my friends, we booked our stay at the resort which happened to be surprisingly economical. The owners were really helpful and made it really easy for us to get there. We must have bugged them quite a bit on the phone but they were very sweet about it. It took us about an hour and a half from my place in south delhi.

We parked our cars in the parking across the lake. The sight was beautiful. A motor boat came to pick us up immediately, and take us across to the resort which sat on an island right in the center of the lake. It was so green, with natural lawns and countless trees. We couldnt believe that such a serene place existed so near the city, yet so far away from the noise and pollution.

The staff was very sweet, and showed us to our rooms which were neat and clean, though not all that fancy. But then again, when you are at such a place, you dont feel the need for frills and luxuries. We spent most of the day doing adventure activities which seemed easy from a distance but gave most of us a crazy adrenalin rush. The rock wall, valley crossing and burma bridge were our favorites. It was hilarious to watch one of our friends trying to cross the burma bridge..!! We lazed around after that, chatting away to glory, and then hit the swimming pool (which faces the lake). We then had an amazing evening around the bonfire, singing and dancing.

We were served lunch, dinner, evening snacks and breakfast the next day, which were all included in the package cost. The food was yummm..!! We also paid a little extra and ordered cocktail snacks in the evening. The chilly chicken was heavenly..! And the ambiance made it even better.

We left the next morning after having our breakfast. Our first stay there was awesome, and I cameback from there today itself after our 4th visit..!! It is a place where one can go and relax and find peace, as well as have fun with friends and family. However, I would not recommend it to people who are looking for a 5 star or hotel experience. This isnt a hi-fi place..it's meant for people who like nature and natural settings. A must visit..! Thumbs up from us all..!!!
