Gulf Air is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. While its employees are courteous, they will often lie to your face. This is frustrating because you will often be in a foreign country when your flight is delayed or canceled, or when you find out that you have been bumped from your flight. Even if the employees seem helpful, do not trust them. Bottom line - if you are a migrant worker with limited financial options, Gulf might be OK. I don't write this to be insulting to migrant workers. I write this because many migrant workers with limited financial means fly Gulf. If you have a steady job or are even a student with limited means, spend $100 or $200 more and fly another airline. This might seem a lot at the time, but when you have to be at work, school, home, or a celebration on a particular day, $100 more is worth it.
