Hey first things first....
Yesterday when I was checking through this site for this product I was shocked to c that this extraordinary book was not listed.
I have suggested it and also have added a review along with it..but donno what happened the product is here but couldn't c my review.

So let's come to the point.
I read this book as a kid and liked it for the simplistic presentation and the easy to follow English.
That was long back ...may be around 10-12 year back.
It was in 2002 december I have read this book again.
Trust me ,this is not just another book.My suggestion, when u read this book is that,donot go by the funky cover pages u c on those novels by Sidney Sheldon etc..donot go by the price of it,and most importantly remove the feeling that it was written by an old time Indian author.
The book talks about a guide who raises to a level and a status of GOD.It's not the story of not such Swamiji's we c everyday claiming that I am sri sri sri sri somexyzji or some pujya xyznanda...This book shows u a transformation of normal human being into a being of an upper level and consiousness.
The hero is from a small village and the story depicts his life from his childhood to his death.The best part of the book is when the writer describes the hero's childhood glorifying the innocence of a child and the pleasure of being a child,and the final part where the hero transforms into someone who can command the nature.
The story is set in small town where the hero is a tourist guide and meets a girl who comes to that place with her husband.He gets attracted by that girl and with his charm &talent he manages to get the girl away from her husband and uses her dancing talnets to earn money and ends uo in a prision and once he gets out of the prision he goes in to a village and starts living another false life because of his charm and talent the villagers worship him as a god,but how the hero transforms himself in to somone who really attains a status of GOD.
Most of the serious thoughts and ideas of the author are not staright in this book.It needs a serious thinking about so mnay things in the book.Most of the philosophy is under current.As I told you this book needs a bit of maturity to really appreciate it.Maturity in terms of spirituality.I am not a believer but I believe that the same force that is there in that so called GOD is also there in you.Because I believe that you are not only a part of the whole but you are the whole.
Read it .Sit and think.There's a lot in it.
