guide is based on rak narayanan novel guide directed by vijay anand and music by sd burman it is full package for cinema lover a intense film which shows a dilema of a man and it is all about peace love and sacrifice.
cast- dev sahab played raju(guide) rosie played by wahida rehman leela chitnis raju's mother kishore sahu as marco rosie's husband.
all act are immortal in cinema world I am not good person to talk about their acting.
plot- raju a guide married to a unhappily married woman rosie and inspired her and help her to find her passion of dance and become wealthy, and raju became arogant and fall in gambling and alchohal and did forgery and duplicate sign of nalini(rosie) and found guilty and imprisioned.
then he released and not taking a path to return at home and go some where else and life gave him a experience of reality world for reveled what happened next you have to watch it before you die.
