My last Experience of my Dehradun trip was Gucchupani or Robber's Cave. It is situated 8km from Dehradun city and nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport. it is to be said that Robbers are taking shelter here after the robbery and that's why it's named robber's Cave. Buses, taxi, and auto are available from the main city to reach here. It is also a famous picnic spot and refreshment park. It is accessible through out the year other than Monsoon season.
Gucchapani or Robber's cave is the main attraction and most popular place to visit. This place is known for its cold springs which go underground of the cave. And one can enter this cafe after folding pants, the deeper you enter the cave the water level is increased from foot level to knee level. The water is chilling and the ground is full of small and big pebbles. it is a thrilling experience to enter the cave/. This adventure is very popular among tourist and youngsters. the high cliff of the caves is slippery and cold. The cave will get darker. To enter this cave slipper is available by some shop. There is also some restaurant on the water outside the cave. The experience is very thrilling, adventurous and funny. it will be an unforgettable experience.
Plenty of hotels and resorts are available in the main city. The price is between 800 rupees to 3000 rupees. The hotels are installed with every necessary item. The staffs are gentle and the services are very professional.
The place is quite safe. Try not to engage with any stranger. While entering in Gucchapani, don't go in bare foot.hire a pair of the slipper to protect the foot from getting hurt by sharp stones. And keep eyes on the children.
