I used to work out of Madivala location of my organization. How good office cafetaria food can be, is no secret. Every few days they used to cood something that was simply unedible. And we used to go out for lunch. Madivala being in close vicinity of BTM and Koramangala, provided ample eating options to explore. There are a lot of restaurants in Koramangala and many of them are good, which you can visit again and again. And hence we inculcated this "bad" habbit of eating out.
Its been about 4 months since I am moved to the Sarjapur location(its the corporate office here). And while the cafetaria standard was no different, we were still stranded there as there was virtually NO eating out options in vicinity. Koramangala, Outer ring road, HSR Layout. everything is too far to go out regularly. And this "bad" habbit of eating out was getting better of us. it was sad story.
That was untill we discovered Grillers. A sweet little restaurant barely 200 m from our office.(Its in the adjusant building of MK Retails shop). And when I say little, I mean little place. It can accomodate not more than 25-30 people at at time. And the "small" feeling continues even after you get a seat. I would encourage you to order as much as you can in a single order. Dont wait till mid of the meal to order that lemon rice. it'll take eternity. Order it early, maybe with the starters itself and ask the waiter to bring the dishes in sequence you want, rather than ordering later.
And then there were only 2 waiters one of which was doubling as the receptionist as well. So you can relax as your meal would take its own sweet time to reach your table.
But as soon as the food arrives. every shortcomings actually look short. The food cover for almost all of them. We had ordered 2 chicken and one panner item. Chicken jalfarezi was delicious, so was the other one(i forgot the name). Served wiht hot tandoori rotis, we straved of good food for about 4 months and tantelizing looking chicken dishes on the table. it all finished before we knew. Paneer Makkhan was stricktly OK. Overall, the food is worth the wait(first in the queue then on the table). And about 120 buck per pocket. it felt even great to know that the tummy is full and pocket is not empty.
This is easily the BEST option if you are looking in and around Sarjapur. Better than Kusum Deluxe.
Though the biggest selling point of the place remains its walkable distance from my office, but believe me that is not the only reason I will be going there again. Soon.
