It was because of one of my friend that I decided to spend time on Gran Torino. The only thing he said was "just see the movie, the old man has again made something different". Now after seeing the movie what can I say? do people get more idea-stic after the age of 70?

If that's true, then it's true for Clint Eastwood too. Frankly speaking, from the beginning itself I thought this movie is a hyped crap of an old man reforming a teen boy or something(movies like those have come in various types and styles, dealing with the same subject. Reformation!).The plot-lines also delivered almost much the same idea about the movie, but no! Gran Torino is totally different.

The movie is about Walt Kowalski(Eastwood) and his unexpressed intimate relation to his neighborhood boy Tao(a korean whom he first misunderstands) which changes Tao forever.Though the movie revolves around the "reformation stuff"(though that's not the apt word for it), we ever dont feel "hmm..again the same" stuff.

Commenting about an actor like Clint Eastwood would be way beyond arrogance. He is as rocking as he is provided the character he plays is not much different from the characters he has done before like a "repenting old soldier" or "disturbed with the past person".All the other characters are "okay" and "good".The reason he has chosen Koreans as playing his neighbors also gives a freshness to the movie, especially when the movie focuses their customs and lifestyles.

Action speaks much more louder than words

This is the message of the movie in summary and it is cos of this message that we just flow along through the movie despite the absence of any rocking stunts or screen blasting attempts, but it has an element which makes you say "wow" and In summary, Gran Torino 2008 rocks and remains "Never to be missed" .
