This company has a simple modus operandi, which I realized after I was duped of money, Booking ID: RT102085402 Gurgaon-Hisar-Gurgaon Round Trip
1.The moment you browse their website, your name, address, phone number, card details are compromised as it happened to me.
2.Within no time you will get a call on your mobile from one of their agents who will quote a fancy and enticing price for which you will fall immediately.
3.If you ask for an e-mail, they will never send one. They will send you a “link” instead. In case of any legal action, such links are not acceptable in court as evidence. However, the court accepts e-mails as evidence.
4.They will give you an approximate distance and trip cost based on the origin and destination of the journey. You will be asked to make an upfront payment of 25% of the total trip cost. THE MOMENT YOU MAKE THE ADVANCE PAYMENT, YOU ARE SNARED IN THEIR WEB.
5.The cab was supposed to report at 8:00 am. Till 8:25 there was no cab at my place, nor any call. I called the driver and was told he is waiting at the destination. I stepped out but could see no cab in the vicinity. I called the customer helpline @ 8:26 am and had a long chat and refused to board the cab since it was already late. Thereafter, the lady at the other end, quickly shot off an E-MAIL at 8:59 am, saying that the cab was waiting and since I did not take it, the booking has been cancelled with NO REFUND. This time they had no issue with sending the e-mail since they had to cover their tracks.
6.It is evident that they probably have a few cabs attached or maybe none at all. They have a team of fake booking/customer care executives/drivers and this is how they snare customers and confiscate the advance that the unsuspecting customer pays as advance. Even if there are a hundred such “bookings” of saying one thousand rupees every day, this brings on a hefty Thirty Lakhs every month for doing nothing; only through fraud. This is their modus operandi.
It is clearly evident this GOZOCABS is one big fraud. My request to all those who have lost money to this fraudster may please lodge police complaints at your nearest police station. The moment the number of such complaints, however small value they may be, become substantially high, the govt. or the enforcement wing would take notice. I am going to lodge a complaint and I request all the aggrieved and cheated persons to do the same. Just sharing your experiences on these portals would do no harm to the fraudster and everyday people would be cheated. Let us all do our bit and keep on lodging police complaints every time we are cheated. Also, spread the word around amongst all your friends and acquaintances.
