I am a student of givt pg college chamba since 2013 and I am studing bsc 6th sem at present time.
BUILDING AND BASIC FACILITES
IN case of building the clg offered number of courses like BSC BA MA BBA BCA PGDCA IN many subjects but the college have not a enough building to maintain all classes in a same place so the bsc ba and B.com department is at sultanpur 5km from chamba bus stand and other courese are occured in old building of chamba palace which is just 1.5 km from chamba bus stand .Another in case of basic facility the college still even not have own water supply special to college .A hhandpump is made in betweeen the campus but that gives muddy water .In case of lab facilities there are lab attedent are avaliable in all labs but not have whole material for practical some have but thats very old and becomes a dustwin.
STAFF FACILITIES
I am also studying bsc in chamba ccollege with major mathamatics but we have only two proffessors of mathamtics avaliable in whole college that are quite satisfied because a new System is resuming in our time which demolished the year system into semesters named as RUSA SYTEM.Due to this new systtem everything is being shuffeled in college and number of new courses added in our degree through which many of subjects staff is not avalibale.
HOSTEL ACCOMUDATION
I CAN live in hostel from previous two years have only temporary warden .water supply is nit quite sufficient and have only temporary warden avaliable.There is no mess facility no sweeper avalbale.no hostel security avaliable and also have many number of problem but tye building of histel is new provideing better infrastructure like doublebed almirah and table chair also all new and well developed but lack in other major facilities like mess decuirty etc.
LABS. All labs are avaliable there but not full material no any proper maintainance also
OVERALL ENVIRONMRNT
chamba is an apeaceful city where u can study in this in the nature which helps u focus on ur study but lacks of profesdors and teachers its being wasted .Choose college like dharamsala abd shimla for garduation and post graduation.Its not be tge future planner college but its also be depend on student mentality how he can manage his( her study.
