Government medical college Surat is among the best medical colleges in Gujarat. Students from South Gujarat prefer going to Majuragate, the place where the college campus is located.
The college is provided with many facilities and as it is a government body, so the fees are only 6000 per year. Though the college has got no ACs in classrooms, so it is a need for them. The faculty at Surat Medical College is also one of the best that they have and so the professors are helping their students ver best manner possible. The PSM department at Surat is India's best. It is ranked 1st and has been awarded for their work.
The campus and hostels are the best part for the students. The new hostels are clean. The Canteen facility with added hygiene is a true characteristic at Surat.
Eucrasia, is their annual cultural fest. It is also well known like other medical colleges. Though not equivalent to Vibrant of M S at Baroda.
The seniors are helpful till they stay with juniors, but later, an Alumni association must never be expected. Because every doctor is busy in thier life at Hospitals.
