Dear peers ,

usually one would be so proud of his alma matter , so am I . I just call it hell because it sucks so badly .

This review is basically for all the medical aspirants , esp. the ones in punjab , because they tend to make the suicidal mistake of joining the ostensibly best medical institute in punjab . unfortunately , this is true for Punjab .

If I call this a hell then it would be a grave injustice to people who are in Faridkot . But that is beyond my imagination . way beyond the torture that I can suffer in this life . perhaps it just might be better but who knows .

So what exactly stinks about my college ? - EVERYTHING . yup . thats it .

Just imagine what a great fun college life is ! - the bunking , the freedom , the girls , the flirting , the carelessness , the gheris , the parties ; and ofcourse in a professional college the competition . But be sure you will find nothing here !

well , nothing doesnt mean something bad or strict , it simply means NOTHING .

No fun and even no studies .

What sucks so badly :

1) the campus : when you come and live here for a few days your first question will be '' Where is it ?'' . for undergraduate students there is absolutely no life and no freedom .

2) the academics : the toppers since the past few years have been children of the professors . if your dad is in so and so hospital in punjab you can get a gold medal in his speciality . the inside stuff I dont know , but that kills all the bloody competition if at all it exists .

3) the ambience : depression and frustation rule , that is if you are not an NRI student or you dont really care about success in life .

4) partiality : no points for guessing the importance and preference given to you if you are an NRI student or son of someone influential .

5) extremely dull college life : the most popular students are who dont do anything but sit down and talk about others . I dont know how far that will help to take someone in life .

6) parsimonious sycophant teachers : well the ones at the college , not the hospital . at the best I can describe them as bootlicking the NRI's .

7) is it co-ed ? I guess not . trust me you dont want to hear about the pathetic condition between the sexes . trust me you would prefer celibacy .

'the driving force here is not the motivation to be the best but the fear of supplymentary which you can get inspite of all your hardwork .'

well guys I guess thats enough for now , you have to spend your 5 best years in life to experience the whole thing .

Although I survived , lets say passed out in time , it had been the most difficult time in my life . not because of the circumstances but because of the restrictions . this is a place for the dead . 'no life' rules . ironically the happiest people and the most satisfied here have no life .

the best are destined to be the sons of the big doctors but I seriously doubt if they can carry their fathers name ahead , not to mention with the fierce competition outside . The bigger evil has been the acceptance by the crowd of their future . no one aims for the sky , they all are looking for their places in mud . bare a few obviously .

It has been a tough time , but a learning experience as well . I have grown up against adversity . so have some of my friends . and as we come out , we are determined to make up for every moment of life we've lost here .

For the alumni's , hey! wake up , this is not the same famous college anymore . Dont give your hefty donations and let the college be derecogonised , as it has almost got lately . it will serve as a wake up call for the administration if anyone is intereseted , that is .

Overall , ask me if it was worth it ? well , you would know that by now . For all the aspirants try for the best college in Punjab - Amritsar . Trust me you wont find a better experience in college , esp. in north india .

I guess by now you know the moral of the story . Dont make the same mistake as some of us did . esp. if you are not fond of an excessively dumb life .

anyone still has doubts , pay a visit to the college before joining . You might get a feel by reading the review .

to all my friends , juniors and classmates : best of luck for your future !
