No more just a Search Engine . Review on Google

Google is a multinational company which needs no introduction. All who are familiar with internet know Google. Google was interestingly begun as a research project in 1996. In 1998, it was revealed a search engine that analyzed the relationships between websites can produce better results than any other techniques prevailing at that time. That started the journey of Google. The domain name https://Google.com was registered on September 15, 1997. The Company Google Inc (initially closely held company) was incorporated as on September 7, 1998 in Menlo Park, California.

Now it has grown and reached at big level. It has more than 7000 employees worldwide. Its market capitalization is US $ 110 billion. It is the largest internet search company.

Since the day it is incorporated, it has grown and grown only. It has added many services into its armory. This is the core of my review. I am putting different services of Google for your reference.

http://www.Google.com - a worldwide well known search engine, needs no introduction.

Google Talk- An instant messenger with some more features than ICQ, MSN and yahoo. You need Google / Gmail user id and password.

Google Maps - It gives exact directions, interactive maps and satellite imagery of the United States and Canada.

Google Earth - It Offers maps and actual satellite images for countries, states, areas, cities, complex etc. Image can be 6 to 24 months old, but it is pretty clear and wonderful.

Google News - It is a new addition to Google to give many headlines plus search engines of many of the world's news sources. This is on the same Google search engine, Google homepage.

Google Groups - You can easily understand it is in competition of Yahoo Groups! Name itself is self explanatory. It enables users to meet, form a group and exchange views. This is on the same Google search engine, Google homepage.

Google Scholar - This is also a good new initiative, which provides a search of scholarly literature across many subjects and sources like theses, books etc.

Google Video - This is like Google Groups, groups of vide. You can upload and see all kind of Home, Horror, Comedy, Movie Trailer, News Videos

Google Toolbar - I love this most. It is a beautiful search engine + pop up blocker + AutoFill plus many other facilities.

Google Image Search - The most powerful image search. You can get any kind of images from across the web in few seconds. This is on the same Google search engine, Google homepage.

Google Desktop Sidebar - The sidebar what you can keep on your desktop and this bar will give all information that you may require e.g. Calendar-date, news, weather, calculator, search within PC etc.

Gmail- a web based email service which is in competition to Hotmail and Yahoo mail. It gives a great storage space more than 2 GB. It has one great feature, with invitation only, one can be member (unlike MS) so you can really track who is related to whom incase it is required.

Google Blog - A note pad on web which can be read by your friends - isn't it simple to explain what Blog is. Like many other companies, Google has come up with this Blog concept which is very famous now.

Google Inc. has caught in many controversies.

Founders of Google Inc Sergey Brin, Larry Page and CEO Eric Schmidt are accepting only salary of $1.00.Are you stunned? Let me explain you why ? Current U.S. & California tax law, Tax on salary income is 35%. But Tax on capital gains is just 15%. So they are earning through long-term capital gains to reduce tax liabilities.

Google Bomb has created some problems for few top officials and politicians. Google Bomb means some famous expressions are linked to politicians and other officials. e.g. Words "miserable failure" or "failure" will give you link of George Bush's Autobiography.World "liar" will lead you to Tony Blair's autobiography. Bush administration has asked major search engines to provide data of web search and its results. Reportedly Govt was asking it for Anti-Pornography law and Child Protection law. Google has refused to give any data to government. The matter is now pending with court of law.
