I wanted to wash my car and test GoMechanic’s service before ordering for a major overhaul hence registered my phone no in GoMechanic site. Soon after I got a call from the call centre and they offered me a package of exterior and interior cleaning. Though I was never interested for interior cleaning yet I agreed. I asked for a next day pick up specially at 10 am. which service person agreed on. But the driver came at 11 am. Around 2pm I got a WhatsApp confirming that car has reached the Go Mechanics Gurage which was just 5-6 km away. Around 6 pm I got a sms saying the job was done and the details were given. They have just done interior cleaning. When I called the serviceman he said he would also do exterior washing before delivery and asked me to pay immediately. Without even seeing the progress I had to pay the entire amount other rose they refused to deliver my car. After the payment, the serviceman stopped responding to my call. After waiting for 2 more hours , car was delivered to me around 8:30pm. It’s already dark. I could see exterior of the car was not washed properly. Mad flaps had all the old dirts. Under bonnet, it was greesy but dirt was visible around the corner. The driver who came to deliver the car refused to leave the place unless I rated the service as awesome which was actually horrible. A complete wastage of money and time. 9 hours gone for a very sub standard wash! I could have done that from a local person paying less than Rs 100 in kolkata. My only intention to send the car was get a good underbody wash which go mechanic didn’t touch at all. It was a horrendous experience and never going to GoMechanic again for sure.
