I love vada pav at goli vada pav. My favorite is corn and spinach vada pav. I live in Bellandur and it was really hot outside on Saturday but since I wanted to eat vadas so badly, I went to goli vada pav located at Marathalli. I crossed the busy street twice to reach to the outlet. I ordered for 2 masala vada pav and 2 corn-spinach vada pav. I waited for around 20 minutes for my parcel. Then again I crossed the busy street twice and reached my home after fighting with traffic and dust (because of all the construction work going near bellandur junction).
I was really happy to finally eat my vadas and opened my parcel with excitement. But, the sight gave me a shock and I almost had a cardiac arrest. There were no vada pavs, rather there were 4 plates sabudana vada:(:(.
My tears almost rolled down my cheeks. I started crying and cursing( well I admit I’m bit short tempered).
I immediately called the outlet and narrated the whole incident to them and asked for the replacement. I was expecting a no from them as I knew they do not have home delivery option and my home is 5 kms. Far from their outlet. But to my surprise they apologize to me and agreed for the replacement and sent a guy with my order.
The delivery guy was a bit confused with the address and so called me around 7-8 times to get the address right. Even I felt sorry for him as he had to travel all the way through bus and then by walk in the hot weather. I asked my husband to go outside our apartment and look for him. My husband located him and got our parcel. He tried to give some tip to the guy but he refused to take it, saying it was their fault and so he cannot accept it.
I was really touched by Goli vada pav’s professionalism and really appreciate their way of handling customers. If they wouldn’t have done this, I would have never visited their outlet in future.
But, they managed to win the heart of their customer.
