As with prices rising as high as a tsunami tide, it is highly unlikely to get food that is franchised that also tastes well and doesn't leave you stinging in the mouth about the value of it.
Enter Golis, marketed as the traditional Mumbai vada pavs, it gets on the right foot by providing a variety of vada pavs and other side orders that cost anywhere from Rs.20 on-wards, the most important thing I noticed from the branch that I visit often ( Koramangala 80ft road) is that they have a clean kitchen ware to work with and it is a trend in India that with cheap food comes a messy kitchen. Luckily you won't be hitting the loo very often after tasting their delicacies.
The really phenomenal thing about Golis is that it caters to a wide range of people and anyone from college goers, to couples, to family outings can have a real treat at this wonderful little joint. The only downfall is that some of their branches lack the decor and appeal that could have easily been created with minimal effort on their part.
But they score high and mighty on other more important areas such as taste, quality, service and pricing, in the end these are the crucial elements to any successful fast food eatery. Cheers to Golis, may you continue to expand and pull in more foodies.
