I have signed up for a personal trainer for six months at Gold's Gym Bandra location. It was the biggest mistake I made. First of all the guy who is supposed to be a senior trainer makes me do the same set of exercises every time. He does not know of any variations in the workout. I should have signed up for a month and done the same exercises on my own. Secondly he is supposed to give me a one hour workout, but half his time is spent in chatting with the other members to get their business. I feel I am shortchanged. Wish I could get my money back.
No doubt the infrastructure is good, but its experiences like this which leave a bad taste in the mouth. Members should be given the option of changing their personal trainers every month or whenever they want or get their money back . In fact a couple of times the guy was busy with his personal work and assigned a junior trainer to me, though I had paid the amount for a senior trainer. Gold's gym is a world class gym with a well known brand name, but the bottom line is that its the people on the floor that count.
I am seriously thinking of changing gyms and looking for a better alternative.
