Bond at his best. Review on Goldfinger Movie

I was pleasently surprised to find goldfinger listed among movies which the users can write reviews and so an impulse I decided to write one on it immediately.Goldfinger is one of my all time fav movies and it is easily my fav bond movie and i have seen em all barring one or two.

Now some facts on Goldfinger

Goldfinger was the movie which triggered the james bond "craze"

It is consistently voted as viewer's fav bond movie on internet polls

the film's main antagonist auric goldfinger was placed at no 49 on american film institute's most menacing villians list making him the most hated bond villian ever

Goldfinger's manservant oddjob who used his bolwing hat to kill people also became legendary and inspired many more similar characters in future hollywood productions.

*the plot

james bond 007(sean connery) **has been assigned to keep an eye on auric goldfinger an english businessman who is obsessed with gold..however bond soon learns out that his main task is to find out how he smuggles gold internationally.while following goldfinger in geneva, bond is captured by goldfinger and in captivity he learns that goldfinger is involved in a huge conspiracy against the US..how bond foils these plans is what the movie's climax is all about.

*why I liked the movie

*even though back in 60's the gadgets featured in the movie would have been a novelty, but to people of my age who have grown up watching spy thrillers such as the newer bond flicks, bourne trilogy, and mi trilogy these gadgets would look mere toys of the past, but the thing about goldfinger is that it doesn't simply rely on stunts, gadgets camera work and special effects on which the action/adventure movies of 90's-2000's have so heavily relied on.It has so much more to offer in terms of style, script, dialogues and that's why even after 45 years it manages to entertain it's viewers.

Sean connery proves why he is regarded the best bond ever.he manages to strike a perfect balance of seriousness/humour in his character which no other bond has managed to do as effortlessly. The characters of this movie such as goldfinger, oddjob, pu**y galore have become legendary..if ou haven't watched it yet, ehat are ya waiting for!!!
