Golden temple is best than ever place to visit in my opinion I actually never miss the chance to go there
it provides great peace to mind to be there as that place has great positive vibes
security wise its no problem at all as its one of biggest tourist visited place
and that place is really awesome, look wise,awesome, facility wise awesome, and is covering a huge area
actually hotels no need because they provide place for visiters to live and more over its superclean temple with full facilities and huge area that you can easily stay and spend few days without any problem
and thing which I recomend is prasaad which we called in punjabi is super best, I have never eaten anywhere ever else
safety wise its also good whether its safety of ur bags or any thing as they have special counters for that
