Golconda fort is in Hyderabad of the state Telangna. I visited the fort about 2 years ago in the month of january.
The fort is amazingly built and it is huge in terms of size. It is built on different levels in an ascendind order.
The fort was built during the mughal rule in india. It was one of the most advanced forts of its time and even till now. The entrance gate is huge and you are welcomed by some mughal gardens right after the entrance. After that you keep on going upwards by the stairs and at the top are the chambers where the king and queen used to live. kings chamber was very advanced built as it had the intercom system built into it which still works and I tried it myself. There is a hole outside the kings chamber where the guards used to stand and they used to say the message through that hole. The sound then travels through the walls and you can hear the message inside the room. this was an amzing feature.
Another amazing technique you can still witness there is another message delivering system. There is a point on the higher end of the fort where you can stand say a message in normal voice. That message can be heard at the entrace door of the fort which might be atleast 2km from that point.
The mughal architecture details in this fort are amazing and it is a treat to watch.
