Gokarna, not a place for family outing. Review on Gokarna

Gokarna is not a place for family outing I would say. It has just 4 sea beaches, where many foreigners would be there all the time. Also most of the Indians there roam around in Bikini and in all hotels people will be busy smoking and drinking liquors. It becomes too awkward when you are with family, you cant really enjoy completely as you would feel conscious for sure.Even in the restaurants all the girls will be in small dresses, just exposing off, which is so horrible. Food is also not that great, not even sea food is good. The people over there do not really know cooking I felt.

Moreover travelling around in Gokarna is too difficult, unless you find a boat to drop you from one sea beach to the other. For going to one place autos ask Rs 400. Else you should be really good at trekking and walking. You have the option to walk to one beach from the other through hills. Paths were not so great also.Om is beach is a still sea beach area, if you like lively water then you must go to Kudle or Paradise beach. No use of staying at Om beach. The water is also very dirty, so you won't really feel like taking bath in it. The places are smelling badly as the hotels near om beach pass the used water to the sea only.Goa and Murudeswar are a lot better than Gokarna. Gokarna is a famous place for drugs as well, so better avoid there going with family.. transport is bad.. quite undeveloped.. food is bad.. hotels are not hygenic.. so many drawbacks............
