We had made a booking for a 3day stay in manali. had to cancel the plan due to some reason. Was in touch with goibibo for a week. They just kept making excuses that they are still waiting for a response from the resort where booking was made. we were in touch with the resort guys also who did not mind rescheduling.
Goibibo kept stalling queries about refund and even falsely said that rescheduling will not cost anything; then one of the days, they claim that rs. 500 will be charged for rescheduling; then another time that 20% of booking amount paid and rs. 300 will be charged for cancellation.
Then on the day before date of booking, finally respond to email and say that the whole amount of Rs. 3000 is being retained by them. The calls also do not connect to all the numbers given. Never, ever book through them. they can never enjoy the reputation and reliability of a good online agent. Planning to file complaints to consumer court and also to police if possible, with proof of all the emails and phone call records.
