My Mother Senior citizen 77years along with family and relatives wans to go for religious tour during Shravan to Mallika Arjun Temple,


Hence on Goibibo I looked for tickets available for Mumbai Hyderabad from 6 am to 4 pm dated 27/8/16 the best option I found was Spicejet 15.55 and return on 31/8/16 Spicejet 10.35 I started booking step wise and as max passenger per PNR is 9 I could enter the passenger details of 9 passengers after making input of my payment and clicking the make payment option the page said payment could not be processed and you need to rebook on clicking rebook I was directed to the page for entering the details of the passengers on completing the process of payment details the payment was successful and ticket was issued I was shocked to find the ticket issued outbound was of 27/8/16 22.25 and inbound of 31/8/16 of Indigo airlines 4.45 am the time in between the payment failure and the payment successful is less than 4 minutes


I called their help line no and informed them, they insisted I have selected the same flights and timing, Later on connecting to senior representative they agreed the booking which failed I had selected the flight Mumbai Hyderabad was dated 27/8/16 15.55 & return on 31/8/16  selected was Spicejet 10.35 am


But they say their IT team says the customer has selected the flights the ticket is issued and asked for rescheduling charges which amounts to additional amount of more than the total amount paid for which mean I have to pay more than double the charges for the flights I wanted and were still available.


I argued with them in case the booking fails Goibibo should ask the customer to start from the step one of selecting the travel dates, flight and so on, when the customer is directed to their page of entering the passenger details the customer assumes all other pervious data entered in the booking which failed is same in fact the customer never imagines he / she has to recheck.


While booking personally at any counter the airline representative always reconfirm all the details filled in the form as that is the hard copy and cannot be tempered with here the system and servers are with Goibibo there is no way the customer can prove it is their system error, there should be bug in their system which must have trigged the wrong timings and wrong airlines in the rebooking process.


This means its better to have our old system of documentation in case the system demands  hard copy of the ticket application form, Goibibo could not issue incorrect tickets, as a precaution I feel the customer should now take screen shot of every page after entering the details as documentary evidence or else they are going to take customers for ride & people will loose their hard earned money.


I as a matured person in my full responsibility knew it is not comfortable for my mother to travel at odd hours so there was no question of my booking both outward and onward tickets off odd hours considering passengers have to reach at least 11/2 hour before departure time, I have already intimated Goibibo I will not spend any additional money and in case if any thing happens to my mother due this odd travel timing ticket issued by Goibibo they are responsible for the same
