If you are thinking that this might be a sequel to the original year 2000 movie, Godzilla, you are in for big disappointment.You'll be disappointed even more if you think that Godzilla in 3D might be a visual treat. So it is neither a great story, nor a visual spectacle in 3D.
Storyline tries to give a twist to Japanese nuclear power plant accident during tsunami and attribute it to some weird creatures named MUTOs(spider / lizard like multi legged per-historic creature with an appetite for nuclear material including the warhead meant to destroy it)And Godzilla is not a giant VILLAIN here, rather a savior of humanity without much reason though.
As usual it is Uncle Sam's turn again to save the world. So some personal tragedy, US forces at work and few cities and big buildings crushed and finally the world is safe again courtesy not US forces but Godzilla the giant lizard who vanishes into the sea to surface again may be few years in the form of another movie(hopefully good one this time)
