While staying at the Coastal DK District, I was looking for a Low cost Air condition for my Hall measuring around 250 sq feet.
I had a Onida 1.5 tonne in my old Home and wanted something similar, Reasonably priced and good cooling.
Biggest mistake was purchasing 2 Godrej 1 Tonne A/cs. One was a Black mirror finish one with 5 star rating and the second was conventional white colour.
I thought it was a wise decision, Unfortunately not, The white unit started acting up after 2-3 moths, not cooling and delayed cooling sometimes till finally after 1 and 1/2 year of repairs and chugging on, it finally gave up.
The Black one was used more and it worked for 3 years, Unfortunately, It had a very peculiar complaint of Slow cooling presumably because 5 star rating to reduce consumption?
Also water. Water would accumulate the Next day in our hall, I realized this being due to The condensation relay pipe getting frozen for some reason, It couldn't be fixed. I could not sell it.
The white one I sold it for 3000 Rs. after the said time period to a service and spares unit.
DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. GODREJ SHOULD STICK TO CUPBOARDS AND TRY NOT TO MAKE AN AC OUT OF A SAFE.
