Goa is a good place to visit whether it is with the family or friends. As a family we visited Betalbatim beach and stayed at the Coconut Grove resort.
The facilities, food, ambience and the beach was simply superb for a break, rest and recharge. The rooms were clean, neat and pretty spacious. The pool was well maintained and water quality was good and clean, with sufficient number of deck chairs to lounge and relax.
They had daily activities for children during the morning which kept them creatively engaged. The food was excellent and quite a spread.
One of the good tourist attractions was the ''Bigfoot'' or the theme park around ancestral Goa - https://ancestralgoa.com/
The reproduction of the old world through models was charming, quaint and yet very informative. The guides are knowledgable and courteous.
This was a new destination, apart from those regularly seen in old Goa, i.e. the Church of St. Francis, the museum, etc.
What does need to be kept in mind is the timing of your trip to Goa. Usually by July the rains are in full flow but we went in early July and were blessed to be between the seasons. Hence, it was warm (not summer hot), cloudy but did not rain as much as we anticipated, helping us to spend more time outdoors.
All in all it was a good break.
