The best time to visit goa if you are true nature lover and a relaxing freak is form May to Aug. The hotels are cheap. The best of hotels you can get for about 500 Rs. a day. (I mean the best). The budget hotels range anything in between 50Rs. - 100 Rs. a day. But think twice before leaving as monsoon is pretty harsh and one can't go out much during this time.
Goa has its natural beauty but it must be admired. People often keep in mind, Goa a land of booze, fun and foreigners. But one should always keep in mind the minimum interaction with the locals there will be fruitful or soon you can face hassels and same in the case of foreigners. They don like to be disturbed or ogled at. And of course lack of police help if a fight heats up. Otherwise if you are on your own then Goa is heaven for the travellers.
