Mostly I travel by my own car, but this time I had planned to travel by Train and below is the nightmare experience that I had.

I recently visited Goa on a 3 night 4 days trip to North Goa. I caught a early morning Double decker train from Lokmanya terminals Kurla, I boarded the train around 5am, it is a nice AC train. I got down at Thivim station. Anyone who is looking to travel North Goa, one has to get down at Thivim station cause it is the closest to all north goa beaches.

My misery starts right from when I got down at Thivim.

You have prepaid taxi but no prepaid autos, Auto person charged me 450/ for a travel of approx 15-20KM. When I was looking for a Auto, all the Autowalas I spoke were rude and smelled like they had some fenny.

Once I checked to the Hotel which was a 3 star close to Calungute and Baga beach. I freshened up and then went hunting for a scooter cause Hotel did not provide one. Scooter wala started with 350/ for day and I told I had many a times visited Goa and always paid not more than 200/. He said that time has changed and the rate has increased. I moved to another he was reasonable and offered me for 250/. I taught since a lot of people do hire scooter the amount should be standardized. I took the scooter and when I went to the Calungute beach, I was surprised to see the crowd. It was like a fair over there, I had planned a nice evening walk at the beach. But this is was uncalled for as if Iam in a concert. Just went to a Shack to avoid the crowd and there were foot massage womans. When asked for the charge they too started from 1K which is very high, we settled for 100/. Irony was she  only applied the oil and left off, when confronted she said  she forgot about something and needs to rush, of course didn't pay her but had all oil on by leg. Just could not take any more I went back to the Hotel.

Next day I visited Baga Beach and here it was not a different site the same over crowded, if you are couple which we were there would be a photographer asking to have ourselves photographed. Once e you are able to get rid of them then there are water sport people who keep on following you are asking if we are interested.  I taught " NO" is a universal language and most of the people understand that.

This time I didnt even go to a Shack rushed back to my Hotel and spend the rest days in the hotel and its pool.

This time around I had a very different experience of Goa, the crowd and everything has made it fast paced. Goa for me was always a lazy where you could the laziest and no one will mind.

Beachs are still beautiful but with so much of the crowd you do not where we are headed.

I confess that I had visited in the month of May which is like a vacation, but I never taught this is what I will experience.

Surely few bad experience will not delete those wonderful times that I had in Goa and will surely visit again but this time sometime when it is not crowded and it is a off season.

Whatever rating is only for the bad experience that I had and will never recommend anyone to Goa during season.

On that Note Tired Raga Signing off
