REASONS WHY I WOULD NEVERSUGGEST GO AIR TO ANYONE:
I had made the booking for return ticket on Jan 20th 2011 in Go Air with booking # BK6894(Delhi to Nagpur - 6th Feb; Nagpur to Delhi - same day evening) for my relative.
1) Just few days before scheduled departure, an sms is sent that the return flight is cancelled due to fog and resulting delay.! I wonder how they could forecast the fog days in advance and yet they are very graciously offering me tickets for just a day afterthe scheduled return for return ticket(8th). I asked how fog would not clear on 6th and would clear on 8th.? I had to pay some Rs. 2000 more to make a booking on another flight as the ticket was being booked at a short notice and Being a doctor, my relative could not afford a loss of single day as well.
2) The meeting scheduled in Nagpur got cancelled. So I had to request for cancellation. Both Indigo and Go Air told me that Rs. 750/- will be deducted and rest of the amount is issued back as vouchers and can be used within 1 years time. I told them we are not frequent fliers and would request them to refund the amount. While Indigo cancelled the ticket after deducting Rs. 750/- and refunded the balance amount, Go Air said that they cannot refund the amount to the credit card account and a voucher for the same is being issued. They told me I should have read the cancellation rules. Even after a lot of debate and giving example of Indigo, they were not ready to refund the money back and voucher was issued to me. I asked that what if I am unable to use the voucher within 1 year's time. I was told that the voucher would expire and no new vouchers will be issued in exchange.!
Result:
1) So, if I am not a frequent flier, my money is going down in drains as voucher would expire in an year.!
2)Not only this, to use this money stucked in the voucher, I am forced to compromise and book in Go Air even if other airlines are giving me better options, timings and prices. Way to go Go Air.!
Now If I suggest the name changed to Cheat's Air.what wrong am I doing.?
