My second airline review in a short span. Again my first time on Go Air. Hmm, looks like I am doing a lot of low cost flying lately. Anyhow, since I wrote a review for Indigo, thought I might as well be fair and write one for "Go Air". This airline is owned by Brittania, Wadia family. Number of problems right from get-go:
No go for check-in Kiosk. there simply isn't a button for Go Air
No go on Web-check-in either
Queue at check-in had an unusually high number of people with 3+ check-in bags. I guess
this airlines is not the one for business travel. It's mainly used by people who need to move large families real cheap.
No go on brand leverage, thought I might get some Britannia cookies for free.
No go for on-time departure. We were 40 minutes late
No go for a proper hot meal. I mean if I shell out dough, give me a darn tray not a box!
No go for speed. Same A320 flies slow for Go air! Go figure!
Finally people carried humongous amounts of food. no problems here.
But I mean if this was a train, I would be all set as people share food with you.
But having large families slurp down gigantic morsels without offering me any, simply made me feel stupid for buying my tiny box meal on board. Learn to share people! Just b'cos you are on a plane
doesn't mean you should not share your food with me. :)
Go air occupies the quadrant of "low cost" and "low quality" on the cost-quality chart. Give this one a pass, unless you need to be somewhere without any consideration for time and cost is your only criterion, like it was for me for my recent trip. And yes, get your mommy or wifey to pack a massive delicious 3 course meal for you. Don't look foolish like I did with a box meal.
It has zero street cred on Go Air.
