I've recently shifted my car from Pune to Gurgaon (JUN-09). Went to internet site and found global. Called them and was trapped in the low cost trap. They offered Rs 6300/- for the car transfer including taxes. I readily agreed with closed eyes.
They told me to give the car immediately as consignment is leaving tomorrow (i.e. MON). I called them. A so called person Sunil came to my house with proper company I card. Looked very sofisticated. The tank was 75% full, still he wrote 50%, the reason he gave was I will get the same level of the tank when I receive it in Gurgaon.
I was supposed to get the car in Gurgaon on FRI and maximum Saturday of that week. As I didn't get the delivery on FRI so I called them. Nobody knew anything. Two numbers given in the slip were not working. I kept on calling through out FRI and SAT. Not to mention how much cost I incurred as my phone bill. Then somebody named as Sanjay (9850467700) called me behaving as if he is doing a big favour for me. He said though he was in meeting still he's calling. He said the car is in Jaipur and I'll get the delivery on MON (i.e. the next week) between 6 PM to 8 PM. If not then he'll give me a new car free :). I waited till MON 8.30 PM. As I didn't get my car I kept on calling him. Very smartly he was not lifting the phone at all. Same is the case with the numbers given on the receipt.
Still I kept on calling them daily. Ultimately on Thursday somebody from their office lifted the call and said that they will deliver it today. So at last I got my car on THU. But I received it with many scraches. And the worst thing was that petrol tank was empty. The Global's driver told me not to worry, even if it is showing empty you'll have 5 ltrs petrol. I was absolutely fuming. Somehow I drove to Kapsheda border in Gurgaon to fill the tank in full traffic. Absolutely nightmare.
Even if you are my foe I will advice never ever go for Global packers and movers. It is nothing but DILLI KAA THUG (Delhi's Thug).
