Story:

A large part of Europe & N.America once again bake in an exceptionally hot summer, many people are asking what has now became a perennial question “Is this a global warming?”

The heat killed many in France, Italy with European heat wave repeating again high temperature in U.S & Canada. The globe is warming & will continue to do so due to “greenhouse effect” which we treated as a 'cocktail hour curiosity,' but now 'we must view it as a threat to human beings and wildlife.'

As ever not any particular weather event is caused by global warming. But globally, it seems that there’s quite a shift in our weather patterns. The record heat could be seen as a part of natural cycle of high & lows.

No climatologist or meteorologist need to draw conclusions about any given year. There had been hotter periods in the past & we will have them in future, but if this persisted for a very long time than its wise to conclude that the human activities had an impact.

Its global average that counts not the 2005 was warmest than the 10 of 12 years & the first half of 2006 were warmest & Britian, France or Italy faced summer like 2003.

The global temperate has rosé 0.7 degree since last 2 centuries & its going to continue to warm by 2 to 5 degree Celsius this century.

The story of how scientists reached their conclusion--by way of unexpected twists and turns and in the face of formidable intellectual, financial, and political obstacles--is told for the first time in The Discovery of Global Warming. Spencer R. Weart Weart conveys the difficulties of studying vast, chaotic weather systems. As one of the profiled researchers puts it, the earth's climate is "a capricious beast"; instead of taking its threat seriously, he says, we have been "poking it with a sharp stick." Weart's goal is "to help the reader understand our predicament by explaining how we got here." Blending parallel stories, he implies that although geophysicists took a long time to understand the various elements of global warming, they were all working toward a common goal. Without resorting to fear-mongering,

global warming came to be accepted through a long process of incremental research rather than a dramatic revelation. Wonder why the earth didn't bake to a crisp, and proposed that the planet radiated infrared energy. The equations indicated that the earth should be frigid, demonstrating that something in addition to solar energy influenced climate. The search for that something over the past 150 years eventually included the gases and aerosols humanity produces, but interestingly, given contemporary awareness and anxiety about warming, cold was what initially gave scientists the shivers. The septic say that the warming can be explained by the fact that the planet was coming out of a cold period known as “Little Ice Age” & not due to a massive build-up of green house gases after Industrial Revolution

Global Warming: The Complete Briefing by John Houghton book not only reveals the history of global warming, but also analyzes the nature of modern scientific work as it confronts the most difficult questions about the Earth's future.
