IN MY OPINION:

Glass, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, is the third and final part of the Unbreakable series. Its sequel was the film Split which was released back in 2016. The whole series talks about the supernatural powers. According the movie, they say that every human being has some supernatural power inside him/her but very few realise them. The movie tries to convince you that superhumans with such supernatural powers do exist in the real world even if they depict it as a work of fiction. Originally, when we see it through the eyes of science, the film is purely based on psychological facts.

What makes the movie worth watching are the brilliant performances and a strong plot with less flaws in it.

STAR - CAST:

Samuel L. Jackson, Sarah Paulson, James McAvoy, Bruce Willis, Anya Taylor-Joy, Luke Kirby and Spencer Treat Clark.

PLOT OF THE MOVIE:

Joseph(Spencer Treat Clark) the son of David Dunn(Bruce Willis) works as his right hand. Now, both of them are in search of Kevin Wendell Crumb(James McAvoy) or the Horde who has abducted 4 teenage girls. He is accompanied by his multiple personalities on a killing spree. David aka Overseer is in search of the infamous Horde and rescues the teenage girls who had been held captive by Kevin.

However, their plan fails when Dr. Ellie Staple(Sarah Paulson) steps in. She is specialized in individuals who believe in the existence of supernatural forces. Kevin is supposed to have 23 multiple personalities among which a 24th personality is that of a beast. When the beast is unleashed, his only surviving victim Casey Cooke(Anya Taylor-Joy) comes back into the picture.

PERFORMANCES:

James McAvoy is the show stealer as he gives an outstanding performance of 20+ personalities which is very much convincing. Samuel L. Jackson as Mr. Glass and Bruce Willis as David Dunn have done justice to their respective characters. It is their brilliant performance that makes the film so vivid and unique.

MUSIC:

The presence of background score is less felt.

CINEMATOGRAPHY:

Much of the scenes are shot in the mental asylum. Overall, it was fine enough.

MY SUGGESTION TO YOU:

Backed with a strong plot and amazing performances, Glass is worth watching, provided you have watched its previous two installments. It's a complete new approach to the comic book world and on the superhero genre.

P.S.: Do not look for a superhero in this movie.

MY RATING:

3.5/5
