Not a girl... not yet a ...boy! . Review on Girlfriend

Sigh!

How we wish and pray that Indian cinema grows up!! This movie is nuthin but an attempt at bringing in the crowds purely on the basis of shock value. Unfortunately this strategy falls flat in the face of those who thought of it. This is because the movie has been made with the worst possible set of technicians. That includes scriptwriters, music directors, actors, director (s), cameraman etc... So while the movie did have a great scope for becoming a superhit flick (had it been treated a million times better) it ended up beating itself up.

The movie has three main characters and a host of other characters that can be seen at the corner of the screen.

The story as everyone knows by now... is that Isha K has a thing for Amrita A and so does Ashish C. Then Isha and Ashish actually fight for Amrita and it gets very nasty.. literally!!!

Amrita and Isha have apparently done ''it'' under the influence of alcohol. when amrita's bf finds out abt it and that they sleep together at nights, amrita's excuse goes sumthin like this, ''jab mein so jaati hu, mein behosh ho jaati hu aur mujhe kuch yaad nahi rehta''.. Bf buys the excuse. He dreams of the two of them getting it on and considers it a nightmare!!! (ahem)..

Anyways... Isha on the other hand, is a man -hater and that is why she likes women.. and she is a boy trapped in the body of a girl (so much for the irony) What is very surprising is the way they have potrayed lesbians in the movie!! men haters and boisterous and not to forget very masculine!!.., it is very apalling..

Amrita's character is that of the resident moron, who never figures out what is happening around her and gets walked all over by everyother character in the movie. Apart from that she bares!!! Her role adds the semi-porn value to the movie.

Ashish Chaudhary's character.... ahem let it be!

Had the movie been done by a better cast and a better script it surely would have been an eye-catcher...
