We visited the new girias showroom at the Sarraki signal off Kanakapura road.
We were planning to buy an LCD TV was checking out on features and price range. we were sure that we wanted to go for 32 inch LCD. The moment we entered the store there was nobody to offer help, then after 5 minutes a sales man decorated with thick gold chain around his neck and finger rings noticed us wandering and offered help. we told him our need and he gave various options but kept insisting we take Onida 32 inch Xaria TV(may be they have good margin on it). He was not technically well versed with the product features and specifications. They can barely speak English. But of course he promised a reasonably good price. Finally we decided to go for sharp as it was a good brand and got it at a very competitive price.
They did not loose any time in taking my credit card to swipe into the machine and later figured that they did not have a new sealed piece. Instead they convinced us to take away the display piece. We noticed that it was damaged and that was the only piece they had. So we had to request the manager Manjunath to get another model. we were made to sit and keep looking at his face as he was busy on calls or attending other customer quries. May be after 15 mins he could lend his ears to our request.
He made calls to other branches inquring for a model availability. he said model is available but only a display piece again. we agreed to it. Later we moved to girias showroom in Jayanagar and got sealed piece which we eventually picked. finally it was worth the persual. We bought an Sharp LCD 32 in for 23990. Excellent picture quality and sound. Thank god I did not buy they promise that they will deliver a new piece the next day. my tips to buyers, Be smart in striking your deal, Never rely on their promise, decide on the product by online research, don't believe the sales men at t he showroom, they would anyway sell that bring more profit to the showroom.
