Ghar. Review on Ghar

Ghar is a movie  starring Rekha and Vinod Mehra. It is a story abot two people in love. How they get married and what turn destiny takes in their lives.

Aarti( Rekha) and  Vikas( Vinod Mehra) are in love with each other. Vinod Mehra is the son of a rich person Om Puri who is very particular about his status in society. He wants his son to get married to the daughter of his friend. Rekha is the daughter of a school teacher. When Om Puri does not agree for their marriage, they decide to get married in court. But the problem is for a house to live in. The boss of Vinod Mehra Asit Sen arranges a temporary accomodation for them. The two love birds get married in court and start staying in that house. But very soon the real owners of the house comes and they again have to vacate it. After some time Vikas gets a house from his company. They start living happily until the day comes which snatches the entire happiness. Vikas and Aarti are coming from a movie late night and some roudies attack Vikas who becomes unconcious and take Aarti with them and rape her.

When Aarti comes to her senses she finds herself in a hospital and the horror again dawns on her. She is always very scared. Vikas a loving husband takes care of her in every way and troes to make her forget the horrifying past. But Aarti is unable to come out of the depression. She starts feeling herself as a burden on Vikas. She decides to leave her matrimonial home and go away. She almost goes. but Vikas runs to the station and sees that the train has gone. He is returning but sees Aarti sitting. The last words which aarti says are " Main nahin ja payi". And the story ends here. The last words of aarti show that she is also madly in love with Vikas.

This story depicts the selfless love both have for each other. Aarti wants to leave her matrimonial home because she cannot bear the taunts people make on Vikas. On the other hand Vikas is ready to face the whole world for aarti. The story gives us a message that love is selfless.

Excellent story line, excellent music and no unnecessary streching. A short and simple story which depicts the agony of a woman who has been raped and how it affects her marital life. Good direction and dialogues.

Rekha as usual has looked really pretty and acted well and Vinod Mehra too has acted really well.

All the songs of the movie are good with melodious music which includes "**aajkal paaon zameen par nahin padte mere and aapki aankhon mein kuch mehke hue se raaz hain"
