Kalpana was Killed .

Ghajinian often used metaphor for somebody who tries again and again for success.

Just watched this movie and feel that this is one of the very few good movies that have happened till now in bollywood. The story line is superb and so is the direction. I really liked how the story was narrated and the movie progresses. The music is not up to the mark and choreography could have been better too.

The protagonist of this movie tries again and again to remember those who killed his beloved and beat him to half dead. Its very spine chilling to watch how Asin is killed in cold blood and Amir is beaten which makes him loose his memory. To his help are only those tatoo over his body and the poloroid he takes to differentiate friends from enemy.

This movie boasts a very well written plot that may be compared to that of Johny gaddar. The film opens with Amir having only short term memory, i.e he could remember things for only 15 minutes. Even then he wants to avenge the killers of his lover. He goes behind the killers, takes pictures, tattoos their names, addresses, Phone numbers etc on his own body to remember them. He hounds them with a passion even after failing several times. A Police officer happens to read his diary and comes to know of his plot. Jiya khan a medical student helps him out with his treatment and is interested in doing a case study on him. But her professor discourages her cause of the risk involved. Watch the movie to find out whether Amir succeeds in getting his revenge.

The best part which makes it stand apart is the role of Amir. Although cannot be compared to that of Salman in Tere Naam but still this role of Amir would be remembered for the superb rendering of a psycopath by Amir. Usually we have a psycopath to be associated with a negative character but here we have a slight difference wherein the main lead is shown to have fulfulling his revenge against those who killed his lover and have injured him to an extent where he his mentally affected.

The portrayal of Amir in two diverse roles one of which is a very sweet sensitive young businessman and the other as mentally affected psyco killer who has ability to remember only 15 mins which he utilizes well to revenge those who are responsible for his present state. Asin probably was irreplaceable thats why Amir brought her into the same role that she placed in Tamil. A Cute innocent person who could grab the attention of anyone even the young business Tycoon who has nothing else than business in mind is forced to get attracted by the simplicity and innocense of Asin who believes that Amir is a striving actor who wants to get into to modeling as she is.

Asin thottumkal is simply superb. she lives to what her name says without sin, purity thats what she looks like. here is one actress who could give sleepless nights not only to youngster but also to all her competitors. Asin has a truck load of innocence which could make any one go fida on her. Asin does full justice to her role and Is one which I bet even amir could not have forgotten.

Amir Khan is good but having watched both the Tamil version only after watching the Hindi movie I could say whether Surya was more perfect that Mr.Perfect Amir in this role.

Jia Khan plays her part well but I am sure the major impact that Asin had given still lingers not letting anyone think of Jia's role in this movie. Its good to see the great change in Jia Khan after the image we had after watching Nishabd.

The movie is supported very well by a superb cinematography.

Having watched both the Tamil and the Hindi movie I really feel that there is little difference in the movie apart from the Climax that has been changed and to be frank I really liked the ending in the Hindi movie.

Finally:

Its really annoying to see lots of review coming up here that says that the movie was ok . I would bet on it if a similar role was played by SRK the same crowd would have made him immortal. Then why do the injustice to Amir. I surely believe that this movie should be given its due credit and since Amir would not lobby for an award and no wonder RNB takes away all the awards this year.
