After much of waiting, I finally got into see this movie, and yeah this is a movie which I saw after a long time with all family. Amidst a crowd that can chllenge the population of Nepal I walked into the threare 30 Mins before the Show, Which I generally don't do. K So there was anther session of waiting and finally the movie started at 4.30. Needless to say the house was packed and everyone was eager to see the movie, So was I.

Ghajini started, and the expectation of brilliance went up immideately. This was a story of a Business Tycoon whi loses his love cuz she saved a few girls from a raquet which was involved in skin business and kidney stuff. The man behind all this Ghajini Kills Kalpana( Asin) and Injures Sanjay( Aamir) to an extent that he suffers with memory loss where he can remember things only for 15 minutes. Now in this situation where Aamir has only 15 minutes to remember a particular things, he goes all out to take revenge and how, is what forms the basic plot and sceenplay of Ghajini.

The film is good right from the offset. The scene at the medical college, the scenes in the flash back and the scenes in the present, regarding Sanjay's pursuit of the wanted man Ghajini. Each and every scene in the movie is deftly handeled.

Favorite Scenes which I specially liked are:-

  1. Where Aamir meets Jiah for the first time, the confusion in his face and his body language are just awesome.

  2. Aamir and Asin's scenes, damn they do have a good chemistry between them and both looked good with each other.

  3. The scene where Asin gets killed and the entire prelude to it. Watch Aamir's expressions in that, the pain and the grief he expresses is just awesome.

  4. The climax where aamir suddenly looses the memory while beating up the goons and the scene with the police inspector.

These are just a few which accoring to me stood out. There are many scenes which make u applaud the art of movie copying.

Direction: Murga-das does a good job here specially in the deaprtment that he doesnt let the audience take rest, he keeps the audience involved in the film throughout. Though his direction has shades of South Indianism with the camera and all, he still manages to make stuff which can keep the Hindi Belt audience also deeply interested.

Performances: Its not long that I have seen Ghajini in Tamil, with Surya as the protagonist. I said then and will stand by it that Surya's performance is just outta this world. Aamir has done a brilliant job here, his performance is a 5/5 one, but still for me Surya was just better than Aamir.

Asin comes as a breath of fresh air in this time. She is one actress who looks good and acts well. Hope to see her more and more in future and seriously hope that she doesnt go to YRF and DP banners.

Jiah Khan - Awful, She is worst thing in the entire film. She should be killed.

Rest of the cast including the villian Ghajini is good.

Music - Havent liked it since day one, though Gujarish is visually more appealing than its audio.

Overall - A very good entertainer, woudnt call it a classic or something but yes a very good masala movie, with ample dose of ROMANCE, COMEDY and ACTION, which has enough scope in India without letting the movie get to the stupid levels of OSO and MHN likes.

Would maintain I liked Ghajini in Tamil more than Ghajini is hindi, even though I dont understand the language and for me Pokiri is still the better movie:P

And Yeah - NO, Naseeruddin Shah's performance is still the best this year.
